Ordering
Materials for the Library Resource Centre (LRC)
The LRC
encourages faculty, staff and students to make suggestions for the purchase of
library materials. Please check the
online catalogue first to see
if your suggestions are in our collection.
Materials requested for purchase may be in the form of books,
videocassettes, DVDs, CDs, magazine or journal subscriptions (print or electronic).
It is the
responsibility of faculty and LRC staff to work as a team to build the LRC
collection. The LRC staff rely on the expertise of the faculty to build the
foundation of the LRC collection. LRC staff will endeavour to monitor
and co-ordinate the on-going development of this collection by providing faculty
with purchase suggestions and ordering assistance to sustain and maintain
collection development. The main goal of the LRC is to support each program
offered at Lambton College with the aim of providing relevant resources for
students to aid in their success.
Purchasing is
subject to the suitability of the material as it relates to our collection and
the availability of funds.
